Important Update: The Best Option for Low-Cost Insulin is Lispro (generic Humalog)

Until recently, Utahns could get discounted fast-acting insulin through the Utah Insulin Savings Program. This changed with the availability of Insulin Lispro (generic Humalog) which can be purchased at a lower cost than through the Savings Program in place of Novolog®. If you’re in need of low-cost insulin, please contact your healthcare provider about changing your prescription to Lispro.

Note: You can still get long-lasting insulin via the Utah Insulin Savings Program:

  • Lantus®
  • Toujeo®
  • Toujeo Max®
  • Novolin®

In the 2020 Legislative Session, lawmakers passed House Bill 207 (Insulin Access Amendments).
